Ahmed Istiak, coming from Bangladesh, currently studies as a Master Student in the School of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering at Wuhan Textile University (WTU).
Ahmed had always dreamed of traveling to China for a more comprehensive education, higher level research, and outstanding scientific accomplishments when he was living in Bangladesh. He arrived in China in June and began working on his research project "Degradation of organic pollutants using peroxymonosulfate activated by Mn-based catalysts," under the direction of Professor Xu Aihua. He works well with a variety of Chinese friends in the laboratory, and there is always a friendly smile on his face. The lab mates teach him how to use experimental equipments, help him to read journal literature, and share the research experience with him. They teach Ahmed Chinese, and kindly call him as “尼修”, and take him to participate various activities together.
Ahmed Istiak said: Thank you, WTU! Thank you, School of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering! Thank you, our lab team! I am happy to study here!
